WHO WE ARE
Weaver Network is a Global Directory and Mapping Tool for organizations, communities, projects, people, platforms, events, and resources made up of practitioners, members and/or enthusiasts of the following: permaculture, regenerative agriculture, regenerative and holistic design/teaching/community organizing, agroforestry, ecovillages, mutual aid, transition towns, and the many other like minded folks across the globe working to repair the Web of Life. The Weaver Network was created to facilitate connection by consensually mapping people and communities working to heal the planet, our social structures, and build equitable economic systems. It is a place to find unity in our diversity, and strength through cooperation, coordination and collaboration.
We are currently not incorporated and have developed with funding from Abundant Earth Foundation. Our intention is to structure Weaver Network as a member-run cooperative society. These terms are written to cover our liabilities in this beta stage, and should not discourage open collaboration and appropriate distribution of resources.
You must be at least 16 years old to be eligible to use Weaver Network’s website, in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA) and the General Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR).If you are under the age of 16, you must have your parent or legal guardian’s consent to register for an account on our website. The platform stewards and moderators aim to keep the tone of engagement on this website family friendly but do not control or censor the speech of our users except where there is a serious breach of these terms.
When you sign up to register for a Weaver Network account, you will be required to provide Weaver Network with certain personal information including your full name and email address. By submitting this personal information, you verify that the information is accurate and authentic, and you agree to update Weaver Network of any changes so that the data commons is more useful for everyone.

4. MEMBER CONTENT
Weaver Network allows you to create a member profile; and to post, link, store, share and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material through Discussion Forums, Working Groups and messaging other members. You are responsible for the content that you create or share, for making sure the content is accurate, complete, up-to-date, lawful, and appropriate, and for making sure you have the necessary permissions to create and share such information, especially for content owned by someone else. 5. LIMITED LICENSE
You agree that you are being provided with a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license and right to access and use Weaver Network’s website. You must not attempt to modify, copy, distribute, sell, license, or exploit any of the materials (i.e. intellectual property) from our Website; attempt to reverse engineer any software contained on Weaver Network’s Website; remove any copyright or other proprietary materials; or transfer the materials to another person or “mirror” the materials on any other server. If you do so, Weaver Network reserves the right to terminate your member account and use of our Website. Upon termination, your viewing right will also be terminated and you should destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether it is printed or electronic format. Weaver Network shall not be liable to you for any loss in the event of such a revocation.

Transmitting, distributing or sending viruses, worms, or any other code that may be deemed dangerous, harmful, or destructive in any manner, and interfering with the integrity of our website
Creating or sharing content that seeks to harm or exploit children by exposing them to inappropriate content or asking for their personal information
Infringing fellow Weaver Network members rights by:
using their personal information made public to other members in an unlawful way; this includes data mining or using other data gathering or extraction methods,
using another members account without their consent;
Impersonating someone other than yourself or misrepresenting the organisation you are affiliated with;
Sending spam to individual members, in Discussion Forums or Working Groups;
Creating or sharing content with individual members, in Discussion Forums or Working Groups that risks harm, loss, emotional or physical distress;
Being uncivil, inconsiderate, unprofessional and engaging in disrespectful behavior, especially behaviour that is discriminatory towards members of any race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, colour, immigration status, social and economic class, educational level, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, size, family status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability. We will not tolerate harassment of any kind.
If you do not adhere to or violate these rules, Weaver Network reserves the right to prohibit you from contacting other users using our website, limit your use of our website, or in certain circumstances, remove you from the website.
Weaver Network may terminate or suspend access to our website immediately, and/or deactivate your member account, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination for any reason or no reason, you continue to be bound by this Agreement.

By agreeing to these Terms, you accept that the Stewardship circle of Weaver Network holds the right to execute necessary changes in terms, while striving to be accountable to you by participating actively in community forums and actively surveying members at appropriate times.
As mentioned above, there may be the opportunity for Weaver Network to become interoperable with our partner platforms. If this transpires, we will offer members the opportunity to opt-in for such services.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
